What is a Keyboard Master?

Keyboard Masters have:

1. passed all the Lessons and Skillchecks in our keyboarding program called UltraKey.
2. passed the Challengers Skillcheck in UltraKey with the regular keyboard.
3. passed the Challengers Skillcheck with the blacked-out keyboard.
4. printed your UltraKey record so I have a hard copy to file.

Which grades are eligible to be Keyboard Masters?

Keyboard Masters have to be in the sixth, seventh, or eighth grades.

What are the keyboarding goals for each grade?

Grade 8: 38 words per minute at 97% accuracy.
Grade 7: 30 words per minute at 97% accuracy.
Grade 6: 22 words per minute at 97% accuracy.
Grade 5: 13 words per minute at 95% accuracy. (Not eligible for Keyboard Masters.)
Grade 4: 8 words per minute at 93% accuracy. (Not eligible for Keyboard Masters.)
Grade 3: 6 words per minute at 90% accuracy. (Not eligible for Keyboard Masters.)

I am a Keyboard Master. What do I do while the other students work on their keyboarding skills?

You may:

1. work in TyperShark
2. consult with your teacher if you have another activity you think might be appropriate to do.
