Dear Parents,

Welcome back to Our Lady Queen of Peace School for the 2010-2011 school year. As we begin this school year, I would like to welcome to the QP faculty two new teachers. We are very happy to have Ms. Michelle Biver teaching our second grade. We also welcome Rick Lewis as our PE teacher this year.

Although we have only been in school a few days, we are very busy. Our first fund raiser, Entertainment Books, came home on Tuesday with your child. Please remember that the Shop and Save coupons in every book pay you back for the purchase price and we profit $15 per book. The Magazine Sale is right around the corner, providing you with the opportunity to renew those subscriptions and help the school at the same time.

As I mentioned at the Parent Meeting, it is your participation in all fundraisers that provides over 14% of our budget. With the cooperation of every family, we can keep tuition down and still provide the quality education that Queen of Peace parents expect.

Local scrip is available in the office any day school is in session from 7:30 - 3:45. You may send an order in with your child and it will be filled and sent home the same day.

Please Remember!

When you are writing checks to Queen of Peace School, that lunch, aftercare/ beforecare, school picnic, field trips and other accounts due are different accounts and require separate checks to be written. We do not have a lot of cash on hand to cash checks and distribute to individual accounts. Thank you.

Band /Sixth, Seven, & Eighth Grade Chorus /Lab Choir / Eighth Grade Guitars /Third Grade Recorders

Please go to the web site and click on Staff and then the appropriate drop down and find the link for these forms. Return ASAP with payment if applicable to the office.

Reminder

All new students and Sixth Grade must have a physical performed by their physician. All Kindergarten students must have a vision exam and Kindergarten, Second and Sixth Grade must have a dental exam. These forms and all others are available on our web site.

If you have not turned in the Final Registration papers mailed to you in July, please fill out and return tomorrow.

You will notice that some of the information/ papers you will receive will come home on "one-side clean" donated paper. We are trying to save wherever possible. Thank you.
